This book includes the theory, treatment techniques, and treatment plans that we use in successfully treating Parkinson's disease.

The book also includes extremely detailed descriptions of the signs, symptoms, and emotional/mental characteristics of Parkinson's disease. This information can be helpful in forming or confirming an accurate diagnosis for idiopathic Parkinson's; the syndrome is frequently misdiagnosed, and autopsy brain scans show that nearly 30% of the people who are told that they might have Parkinson's actually have nothing of the sort.

Note: this 2007 version is not completely finished yet, and therefore it is not yet available in hard copy. The finished chapters are, as yet, only available via the free download method on this website's Publications page. The finished chapters have been posted on the Publications page of this website, and the remaining chapters will each be posted as soon they are finished. The finished book will hopefully be available by early 2008. At that time, it will also be made available in hard copy.

About the 2007 edition

On July 1, 2007, a completely overhauled edition of Recovery from Parkinson's Disease (6th edition) was posted on this website. Although the book is not actually finished, those chapters that were ready for posting as of July 1 are available for free download on the Publications Page of this website. Up until now, new editions were modifications on previous editions. This new 2007 edition presents a departure from the previous format and includes recent discoveries in neurocardiology and insights into the dissociation response that suggest reasons for the individual variations in recovery rate. Although this book is not finished, the material is complete enough to present the whole picture of Parkinson’s as we now understand it, and to present some of the techniques that we use in successfully treating Parkinson’s. The remaining chapters will be posted as quickly as they are finished. As soon as the book is done, a downloadable index and a table of contents will be created and posted on this site. This book is not yet available for sale in hard copy. When the book is finished, it will be made available for sale in hard copy.
