Contacting the Parkinson's Recovery Project Team

Contact Us

Our email address is pdinfo@cruzio.com

Response time may be several weeks. Before writing to us, please do read this entire page.

We have become terribly swamped by interest in our program. We do not have the capacity to keep up with the emails we receive. Though many hours are spent every night answering emails, the turnaround time for email responses can now be several months.

Because everyone working for the Project is volunteering his time (does not get paid for answering emails), and the emails often ask highly technical questions that can only be answered by a health practitioner trained in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, it is not possible for us to simply “hire more help.” Instead, we must sadly admit: we have reached our limit.

However, we are still always happy to receive emails from the following:
1) People who have recovered. We would love to be informed as to the approximate date of your diagnosis and date of your recovery, and your date of birth. We would also love to hear what you consider to be those techniques, either physical or psychological, that were most helpful. These need not be techniques from our program. If you have found methods in other programs that “turned things around,” we would love to learn about them. If you wish to write more, we love to hear details. We do not need your name.
2) People who are nearly recovered who wish to share their experiences as to which techniques have been most helpful.
3) Queries about the organization of our non-profit Project.
4) Offers to volunteer or to help us with our mission.
5) Thank-you notes. They mean a lot.

Sadly, we are no longer able to collect data from or respond to:
1) PDers describing, and/or asking questions about, their symptoms.
2) People hoping for diagnoses over the internet.
3) PDers who are puzzled, frustrated, or in any way uncertain as to what is meant by the material in the free books found on the website of the Parkinson’s Recovery Project. We suggest reading books on Asian medicine or books in the “Recommended Reading” appendix (not yet written).
4) People who want to discuss the process of learning to “feel channel Qi.” (Hopefully, a book will be out in the next two years that goes into more detail about learning to feel channel Qi.)
5) Questions about vitamins or supplements.

Over the last ten years, we have deeply appreciated hearing from so many people, with their detailed information about their cases and their experiences while working on recovering. However, we simply cannot continue the correspondence program.

Our deep thanks goes out to all who have contributed personal information to our project, and our prayers go out to all those who are working on recovering from Parkinson’s disease.

Please do not call the private offices of Janice Walton-Hadlock or the school where she teaches, or the other members of the Treatment Team in an attempt to circumvent these restrictions. We are not being elusive: we are simply overburdened. Scheduling treatments with Janice Walton-Hadlock, for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, is only done through the Parkinson’s Treatment Team program.

As an aside, this new correspondence policy also applies to queries addressed to the email address for the Parkinson’s Treatment Team of Santa Cruz. That email address, pdteam@cruzio.com, will continue to respond to emails inquiring about scheduling appointments for the training of Tui Na practitioners alongside for-fee treatments for their patients. However, queries about diagnostics, feeling Qi flow, and questions or information about individual cases of Parkinson’s will no longer be placed in the queue to be answered.
Again, any questions about scheduling with the Parkinson’s with the Treatment program should be addressed to pdteam@cruzio.com. Response time may be several weeks. Please be patient with us.

Thank you
